Well I hope this one puts you in the mood of Christmas. I'm practically
dreading it myself, yet I am having such a fine time searching every body's
else's fabulous blogs of Christmas music. The weirder the better, please!
This is a wonderful volume of strictly Christmas themed rockabilly tracks.
Another 30 tracks, every one of 'em are winners! I'm currently digging
these fine tracks: Rock Around The Christmas Tree, Sleigh Bell Rock,
The Wildest Christmas, Rock n' Rudolph, Reindeer Rock,
Jingle Bells Boogie, and of course I Wanna Spend Christmas With Elvis.
Not your usual Christmas "Simon,Alvin and Theodore,Jingle Bell Barking
Dogs,or Jingle Cats Meowing Bad Christmas Tunes", so this should delight
even the toughest holiday music critics! Music makes the house seem more
festive, so rock on here! Links in the comments.
Only 12 more days until Christmas!

Rock-A-Billy Barnyard - Buffalo Bop - Chicken Bop
Oh,this cover on Rock-A-Billy Barnyard is priceless isn't it?
If you had a big red Cadillac in the yard , how come you can't afford
that uppity indoor plumbing? And yeah, I've worn those gingham
checked dresses while doing the chores...but I'd probably turn around
and yell at those guys to help me tote my bucket, you lazy mules!
Well, 30 more fabulous rockabilly rock songs from the 1950's.
The theme should be chickens, horsies, and cows, but it isn't.
Only one song about chickens, but the rest are all top flight rockabilly
styled music just like all of the other volumes. The stand out songs here
are: On The Warpath, Tall Oak Tree, Born Unlucky,
Barnyard Rock n' Roll, If You Don't Like My Apples (great title)
and The Dirty Bird Song (You Can't Hardly Get Them No More).
Entertaining volume of rock and roll. It's all from the original vinyl singles!
Link in the comments section, you hillbillies.

Wild Men - Buffalo Bop - You Shake Me Up
It's a busy busy Mojo Repair Shop,why, there's a lot of people
who want some holiday music, and the gift of music all around here.
It keeps me from my blogging and getting a chance to listen to more
cool rockabilly sounds. Well this volume of Buffalo Bop is just as strong
as most of the others, featuring another can't-go-wrong 30 tracks, from
the early 1950's-to the early early 1960's. But never, ever venturing
into surf land. This is all strictly 50's rockabilly rock, and it's all from
the smallest independent labels from all over the great U.S. of A.
The strong tracks here are: Roly Poly, I Can't Stay Mad At You,
Boogie Beat, You Shake Me, Teenage Boogie, I Was Too Blind,
Saturday Jump, The Slide and The Surfin' Freeze.
While The Surfin' Freeze is not a "surf" song, it's more
of a strange California themed rock song stuck on the twist craze
kinda beat.Perhaps the waves are on the rise, and Dick Dale will soon
show up,knock our socks off,,and start a new sound. We hope so.
But for now, it's rockabilly.Link in the comments rock and roll hounds

Rock! - Buffalo Bop - Blankety Blank!
Well, this title pretty much says it all doesn't it? You betcha!
Another 30 tracks of vintage rockabilly from the 1950's, with
cool songs like: Wiggling Blond, How About A Date, Hot Dog,
Bop A Lena, Rock n' Roll Grandpa, Raised On Rock n' Roll,
It's A Lonely World, and Blankety Blank.
It's a hoot to listen to, and I think this series will get you hooked
to this sound, make sure you check out other blogs with this kind
of fabulous music. If you're a total crack-pot like me, you might
as well go under the google search engine, and type rockabilly
and rapid share and look out. Hope you have a large hard drive,
you rock and roll monkeys. I know some people like to abuse
rapid share, but how can you when you get to hear all of this
lovely music? Never complain about it because you never know
when this whole damn thing will come to a crashing end.

Jelly Roll Rock, Run Run Mabel, It's A Fad,Ma!, The Shake,
Don't Be Unfair, I Love Her,Right Or Wrong, Go Cat's Go,

Explosive Doo Wop, Philadelphia Doo Wop, Brooklyn Doo Wop,

Knock Out - Buffalo Bop - Rollin' Danny!
Knock out is a knock out to be sure! What is really cool
on this particular volume is MORE VINTAGE Rockabilly,
plus the original version of Rollin' Danny by Ron Haydock.
To the folks who love punk and newer UK rock music,
(just like me)The Fall did an excellent version of Rollin' Danny.
So I encourage you to check out the original version of the track.
It's wonderful. Mark E. Smith does a fine job!
The other highlighted tracks on this volume include:
Boppin' Bug, Tuscaloosa Lucy, Sweetie Pie, Don't Just Stand There!,
You're A Tiger, Let's All Go Wild Tonight, and
Bucket Full Of Tears.30 more tracks! It's all right here daddy-o.

Candy Doll - Buffalo Bop - Girls Rockin' Out!
A rare volume of female rockabilly tracks! 30 more tracks of
rockabilly 1950's-early 1960's originals. Just as fun as any other
volume, the tracks I highlight here are Teenage Boogie, Cool Cat,
What Does A Lifeguard Do In The Fall (?), At The Sock Hop
is juvenile fun, Watch Me Do The Twist, Eskimo Baby,
Mean Man Blues, and Teenage Rebel. Hardly a bad song in
the whole bunch. Dig the chicks right here.

Trading Kisses - Buffalo Bop - Chicksville USA
You say you don't have enough rockabilly music in your
life? Well, here's more. No doubt about it, the 1950's era is fun,
and has a charm all it's own. Probably what's lacking in today's
music, the charm, the old fashioned just singing about what you
know. This volume contains another 30 tracks, and is strictly
rockabilly type rock and roll. The title track song Tradin' Kisses
by Matt Lucus is one of the stand out tracks on this various artists
compilation, along with: Pal Mal Rock, Butter Ball, Tip Toe,
Chicksville USA, Rock And Roll Rover, Arkansas Jane,
and Nervous Wreck.
I like the track Nervous Wreck a lot, since it's a man talking
about his girl! Nutty and great! Check it all out here below!

Hobo Bop - Buffalo Bop - Mystery Train
Hey hipsters and cowgirls, yet more volumes of this
fabulous series of Buffalo Bops! This is yet another one with
a theme and the theme is trains. I would say this volume is
largely country western rockabilly sounding, but still really
a fun ride without a doubt. There's 2 versions of Mystery Train,
along with some other cool tracks: That Long Black Train,
Goodbye Train, Folsom Prison Blues, Train Whistle Blues,
One Way Track, Hey Mr. Porter, Kansas City Train,
and naturally, the title track Tommy Nolan doing "Hobo Bop"
This is a cool volume, and contains 30 tracks. I think you're

Bad Boy- Buffalo Bop - Meaner Than An Alligator
Tony Curtis in a switchblade fight? Bad Boy-a good theme
for a series of compilations of 1950's rockabilly.
This entire comp is dedicated to them; Here's a sample
of the way cool songs and titles: All Night In Jail,Okie In The Pokie,
Don't Hang Around Me No More, Red Hot Mama,
Take It Easy,Greasy! and of course I've Been A Bad Bad
Boy by The King Beats.Yet another winner compilation of
vintage 1950's rock and roll from the original singles.
This one is a strong one with some amazing tracks!
Don't sit around wondering if this is cool enough, these
are very hard to find, and no one has ever really compiled
this large a series of rockabilly music discs. Dig it baby!

Teen Town - Buffalo Bop - Spin The Bottle
The Teen Town volume of Buffalo Bops boasts mostly
songs about difficulties between boys and girls. Which is
mostly what a lot of songs are about anyways...aren't they?
Just think about it? Most songs were written because someone
was angry, in love, crazy, or any other strong emotion.
Teen Town's highlighted tracks are: All About Cha,Babe,
I'm Hypnotised, Tell Me Quick,Tell Me True, Spin The Bottle,
You Broke My Heart, and one particularly unusual one called
Coconut Girl. And it's all vintage rockabilly 50's styled, the original
artists, and culled from the original singles, almost like a small
time capsule of love directly to you, from Mojo Repair Shop.
I hope you're not sick of these compilations, give them a listen.
I think they will grow on ya! More to come little sea monkeys.

Stuck Up - Buffalo Bop - Stella Got A Fella
Oh, what a cover -she's just being coy, not stuck up! And
how many juvenile delinquents would be caught dead near a
barbershop? And beating someone up? I think they'd be working
on their jalopies, and just hanging out, not popping some guy in
the face. Oh well, more rockabilly action kittens and cats.
My favorites are the obvious wacky songs like: Lovey Dovey,
Preacher Man, Rolly Polly, Griddle Greasin' Daddy,
Meet Me In St. Louis, Louis!, Stella Got A Fella, and the
ever popular Let Me Play With Your Poodle. (what a strange title)
Again, all of the fabulous 50's sounds, without cleaning up the
fidelity too much. Mastered from the original 45's, so it's the way
those kids heard them back then. These discs really capture that
innocent early rock 'n roll time period.

Skipping Along - Buffalo Bop - My Knees Turn To Jelly
Skipping along in the Buffalo Bop series, 30 more tracks of mid
50's blast available to you, fellow hipsters. This one has some
interesting titles you're going to wanna to hear it-because they're fun -
Teen Age Talk, Oh Geronimo!, Ain't That A Dilly, Report Card Time,
My Knees Turn To Jelly, and so many more worth hearing.
I'm having a wonderful time listening to these, and I really
enjoy seeing people grab these, so this kind of music never gets
forgotten! That's what it's all about, man. Dig the cover with the
junvenile deliquent that looks like a retarded James Dean!

Fright'nin - Buffalo Bop - Shimmy Shake!
Back to the Buffalo Boppin' series
that we all love so much. Another
voluptuous volume of vintage voola
1950's original rockabilly
unknowns, and really very catchy
rock songs. Another 30 more tracks,
featuring the coolest songs,
I'm grooving to: You Hook Me Baby,
Koffee Shop Rock, High School USA,
Sweet Cucumber(?!), String Bean,
Weepin' & Wailin' and Shimmy Shake.
All songs mastered from the original 45's,for
optimum wattage in the cottage. The real 50's
blast daddy-o! These are hard to find ,so I urge
you to move quickly, why? Lotsa blogs have
been violated by creepy creeps, who really
don't know what to do with themselves.
I could think of a few things they could do with their
precious time, and ask them to at least consider, you're not
going to ever enjoy this music either, so why be so darn
depressing, and weird.
Bloggers will just move to another site. While you're spinning your
wheels. This is long out of print, and these songs are
50 plus years old. They are worth preserving for people who like
vintage rock 'n roll.

Monster Party 2000- MuSick-Stay Sick Turn Blue!
You have no idea how much I love Halloween, do you?
Well, here's another compilation you just gotta hear! This one
is one of thee best- look at the head count of these bands:
Satan's Pilgrims, The Boss Martians, The 3-D Invisibles,
The Woggles, Electric Frankenstein, Deadbolt, Bleed,
The Chimps, The Space Cossacks, Freddy Fortune & The
Four-Gone Conclusions, The Hellbenders, Fifty Foot Combo,
Eddie Angel & The Omega Men,The Tiki Tones...and more.
Whatta pile-o-fun here on this disc. This isn't that scary, though.
What really scares me is Governor Sarah Palin, and what's
going to happen to us all in the next year or so.
Well ,the music should drown your sorrows, and cheer you
up for a least 40 minutes or so. And that's the best I can do.
More Buffalo Bops soon, so you can get your fix.

Teenage Wolfpack-Buffalo Bop-Go Crazy Man!
Another Buffalo Bop in the series of great songs by obscure artists,
who should've made more records! Another 30 tracks with one really
rare acetate, and it's Sonny Fisher "Rockin' Daddy" wow, that means
it's never been pressed into a single, and that's the only way you could
hear this song. And there's plenty more Class-A rockabilly like these
songs: When Sin Stops, Rockin' Beat, Cotton Pickin' Heartache,
Jello Sal, Hootchi Cootchi Man,Shake Bop, and a groovy little tune
"Whiplash" by Riki And The Rikitones! All from the 1950's, when
people had fallout shelters, and drove very large cars made from
real thick metal, and the led sled was born. I come from a long line
of car enthusiasts, and we always date ourselves by our cars.
Copy and paste into your browser and warm up the tube amp!

Young And Wild-Buffalo Bop- Be-Boppin' Daddy
Young And Wild! features 30 more tracks of Rockabilly fun!
I think this one's another winner, because "Wildcat" by The Nitecaps
is on it, plus other fabulous song track titles like: A-Bomp Bop,
Don't Need No Job, Not For Love Or Money, Sharpest Little Girl,
I'm Not Crazy, and Rock All Night With Me. Even the songs like
I Just Can't Go On remain fun, upbeat, and don't sound at all like
he's suffering one bit. It's the fun, fun, fun rockabilly sound where
kids were innocent, and life seemed simpler then, didn't it?
Again, copy and past into your browser for the magic to happen.
I guaranty a good time for all.

Hasil Adkins-Chicken Walk Buffalo Bop
One of my favorite crackpots,Hasil Adkins. It's pronounced
"Hassle" not "Hay-zil" He's considered an "outsider artist" but he
once claimed he just had "bad microphones". I would have to agree
with Hasil. And that's what must have prevented him from having
that "big hit". Success eludes a lot of us Hasil. He was a warm hearted
sweet guy, that slightly scared the hell out of me,when you saw him
live in person. You just never knew what the heck was going to happen
at his shows. Either way, once you hear the music it either grows on
you,or you shake your head in confusion. If you shake your head
with confusion, I don't know why you're even on this site! And you're
not cool. He was a one man band, and drove to every show
a la Chuck Berry styled touring, and played all of his own instruments
all by his own bad self. He's a one of a kind.
And I assure you this disc is way out of print and worth getting, right
along with his opus "Poultry In Motion" disc from Norton Records.
Wake up before the coolness passes you by you sheep-people.
He's already passed onto hillbilly heaven, and he died while on tour.
Born April 29th, 1936 Passed on to the great geetar in the sky
on April 25th,2005. We should make April Hasil Adkins month
don't you think? Vote "Yes", on your ballot.
On wikipedia, he was billed as country, rock and roll, blues,
and JAZZ! Hmmm. Is that what that is? And he was equally skilled
on the harmonica, and keyboard, and played the guitar, and
drums, and sang all at the same time onstage. There has to be
videos of him on you tube and children,I encourage you to learn
at all times. Oh yeah, there's 30 tracks on this disc. And I'm sort of
angry my favorite song isn't on here, (but at least No More
Hot Dogs is on this) and that's "We Got A Date".
So go and find that song, and tell me what you think.

Juvenile Jungle-Buffalo Boppin' - Switchblade Sam
This one's a doozie,and it's pretty wild! I dig the front cover!
I love the music and great song titles: Switchblade Sam, Hot Lips Baby,
Gone Baby Gone, Let's Paint The Town Red, Darn Dem Bones!
Slippery Sal, So Wild, and Juvenile Delinquent! I'm sure, this is
one of the strongest volumes, with the most fun songs. All tracks
from the original 1950's singles, and most songs clock in at about
2 minutes 10 seconds flat. And nearly all of these volumes have 30
tracks each, and it's worth hearing each and every song.
Thanks for your comments, and it's fun to make these available to
everyone who's a music fanatic, as I am.There's more of these coming!

Ice Cold - Buffalo Bop - Teen Age Machine Age!
Ice Cold is not ice cold-it's red hot baby! I found a lot of tracks
to fall in love with this week; Teen Age Machine Age, Bermuda Shorts,
Gee Whiz!, Miss Secretary, Pajama Party, Walkie Talkie, and yet
another cover of Mule Skinner Blues. Now that should date this
volume to songs about as new as 1960 or so. Because that's when
that terrific hit-out-of-nowhere came out by The Fendermen.
The Fendermen were a pop rockabilly duo in the early 1960s.
Primarily composed of Jim Sundquist (from Kingsford,WI.)
and Phil Humphrey(from Stoughton, near Madison WI.)
The group had one big hit record with Mule Skinner Blues released
in 1960 on the Cuca Records Label out of Sauk City,Wisconsin.
The song was a number #3 on the Billboard Charts,so then came a
slew of covers, trying to exploit the hit...but no one really did it as well
as The Fendermen, man! (The Cramps do the best cover version in
my humble opinion, no one can yodel like Lux)

Tuff-E-Nuff - Buffalo Boppin' - Cool Guitar!
First off,it's nice that people like these compilations. Once you
listen to a couple of these, you can become addicted to them
pretty easily. I did, and with so many volumes,I am also never
bored with the music, ever. The tracks that stand out on this volume
are: Wiggle Walkin' Baby, Crazy,Crazy, My Rock And Roll Daddy,
Cool Guitar, It's Witchcraft, and High Classed Baby!
As always, these come along with artwork, and most of these covers
are from actual pulp fiction styled paperbacks, which are also
highly collectible, for their hand drawn artwork. You can actually
google that, and find a mountain of artwork! Plus they're
kind of funny, in a dated sort of way. Again just to keep you
tuned into these, these tracks are from the original 45's-the singles
plucked right out of the 1950's, and many of them were never
reissued on any other disc.A true time machine find. So Go,Man,Go!

Jukebox Rock - Buffalo Bop- Put A Nickel In The Jukebox
Jukebox Rock features all songs with themes of guess what?
Jukeboxes! That was what drove the kids wild back then, before
there were affordable home record players, and small tube amps,
the jukebox was king. Every bar, tavern, and small diner had them,
and they still make jukeboxes-if you look online, there's still companies
making vintage looking jukeboxes that play Cd's. For the kid in everyone.
Now they have NEW floor standing, wall mounted jukeboxes,
they're as colorful and grand as can be, some even play mp3's and
ipods! And some are digital download-able models. Imagine that!
They have all of the original brand names; Rowe, Rock-Ola,
and Wurlitzer still being made today. They even have jukeboxes
that still play 45's that are brand new! This particular site at
http://www.jukeboxes.com/ said that jukeboxes have been
around for nearly 100 years! Really cool to check these out!
Getting back to this particular disc; the songs all have the theme of
jukeboxes and some of the titles are: Juke Joint Johnnie,
Jukebox Queen, Jukebox Julie, Jukebox Cannon Ball,
Jukebox Mama, Rock-Ola Ruby, and Juke Box Find My Baby!
Crazy man, crazy!

Flip Flip! -Buffalo Bop- Joe Cool!
Flip Flip really has no theme other than way cool FUN rockabilly!
All various artists, all vintage 1950's rockabilly rock, and it's really
very addictive music! Lotsa songs sung by boys about girls.
The usual thang! Cool titles include: Bop Hop, Crazy Alligator,
Rockin' Chair Twist, Little Heart Attacks, Sharin' Lockers, and
The Gulf Coast Twist. Get 'em all, daddy-o.

Rockin' Orbit-Buffalo Bop- Gonna Ride The Satelite!
This one has a definite theme to it-all space rockabilly! This one
just might be my favorite, since I love 1950's monster and sci-fi
movies from that era. My favorite movies are Tarantula,
The Creature From The Black Lagoon, and the super early film
The Day The Earth Stood Still. And who wouldn't love these
songs titles: Orbit With Me, The Martian Band, Moon Eyes,
Monkey On The Moon, Planetary Run, Flying Saucer Boogie,
Rocket To The Moon, The Little Space Girl....and how about
this one Zippy Hippy Dippy! They don't even know what
outer space is like, so the songs are pretty funny in many ways.
Wildy entertaining disc! I'm koo koo for this one.

Out For Kicks- Buffalo Bop- Livin' For Your Lovin'
Wild Wild Wild Rockabilly, 30 more tracks from this series that will
go on until I posted them all, or I will at least try to! The theme of this
one seems to be wild and crazy with songs like: You Drive Me Crazy,
Lover's Lane Blues, Gone Gone Gone, Got The Bull By The Horns,
and my favorite being Livin' For Your Lovin'. You can't beat it!
Again, all of the songs come from the original 45's from vinyl, so
they sound like a old jukebox playing from some kind of time machine.

Chrome,Smoke & Fire-A Compilation Of Hot Rod Music By Robert Williams-Wow Wow Wowsville!
Okay, this is probably the most beautiful double album ever made:
2 picture discs, and a front cover on both sides, and thee coolest music
inside! This is perhaps the best use of art and music in one package.
Robert Williams has always been a fanatic about cars, art, and music
and this is perhaps the best testament to that music from any artist.
I'm a fan of his art first, I have the book- Visual Addiction: The Art
Of Robt.Williams, and highly suggest you find it for yourself along
with this double album. It's wild, it's freaky, it's packed full of color,
and some incredible images. Art and music are a natural together.
Blend the two, great music, and shocking powerful art, and you have
a hit on your hands. I'm surprised that more bands and labels don't think
about that more often when they unleash their releases onto us. I can
only imagine this is wildly out of print, and hard to find, so that's why it's
here to enjoy. Why it was never re-issued is beyond me? I'd buy ten
of them ! As far as the music goes, these are hand picked songs from
the Robert Williams library of rock music car songs. All hard to find
40's-50's rockabilly, "jalopy songs", he's obviously an older dude, who
probably bought these records when they came out, or remembers
hearing them on his radio. Largely most of the music is 1950's-60's.
With the tail end of vinyl 4 side being late 70's and 80's songs. He knew
how to pick them, like a DJ would! I love hearing "Hot Rod Man"
By Tex Rubinowitz from 1979, I could listen to this album set all day,
while I'm tuning up the car.(yeah I do fix up my OWN car in the backyard)
But then again, I gotta 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback so I CAN tune her up.
I just love this album, and you're gonna too.You really gotta hear Big Stick
doing the song "Drag Racing", sheer brilliance! Now, how about it Coop?
When's your comp coming out of car songs? Care to up the stakes, and
blow our minds?
This is 2 discs worth, with complete artwork, and even a track list of the
songs and the year they came out, so you can follow along carefully.
I got at least another 2 months of tearing up the roads around here,
before I have to put the car away for winter, and this is my soundtrack.
The liner notes read "These LP's were deliberately mastered from existing
vinyl, therefore trax have varying amounts of surface noise". Keep that
in mind kids, and don't even think of complaining about that.

I Dreamed I Was Elvis-Buffalo Bop-Make Me Dance Little Ant!
This is probably the hardest Buffalo Bop to get,and the most ridiculous
compilation of the series. Why? Guys trying to be Elvis, and no one is
even close. Sorry guys! You should have called yourselves "The Not Quites".
Because that's more like it. It is entertaining in it's own silly way, so don't
get all weirded out on me. Make Me Dance Little Ant has it's charm,
a complete rip off of Jailhouse Rock, with the most silly lyrics ever.
Not even trying to cash in! The song just goes on and on about having
ants in his pants, not really praising Elvis, but making fun of his dancing.
That was what most people thought when he started out, and no one took
him seriously. Because he did overdo it on every television performance,
didn't he? And that's how he got noticed, and the kids totally dug him for
basically giving the adults the middle finger, with that overtly sexual dancing
The funny part is,when he would be interviewed after performing,on early
television shows, he sounded like a harmless, polite young man, just hooked
on music. He also looked like a juvenile delinquent from outer space, what's
not to like?

Hang Loose-Buffalo Bop- Flirty Gertie!
Hang Loose follows the tradition of this whole series, more Rockabilly
songs particularly by men about women. Although, this is typically
tiresome after a while, you will soon see more girl rockabilly comps
very very soon. I'm working on it! So, come back soon, and
hopefully I will have some done for you! It's always nice to hear songs
from a different perspective. This one, again features some fun songs,
with titles like Flirtie Gertie, Saccharin Sally, Rootie Tootie Baby,
You're Gone,I'm Left, and Rocking Jalopy. I can't help but play
this in heavy rotation. Stay tuned for more cats and kittens!
I've got some pretty cool knock out editions for you! Go,Man Go!
