Okay,I know I haven't been posting much lately. But sometimes
you get busy with work ,and life, and other things. But fear not, I'm
not really gone, I'm still here. Just have things to do! At least I have this
one ready to go, and don't worry,I'll be back. I have more rockabilly
to share. This volume is one of the best in the series of Buffalo Bops,
and is yet another 30 fantastic tracks of original rock from the 50's.
Some of it even early 60's. The one track that stands out, is Sonny
Flaharty doing a track called My Baby's Casual. There's no evidence
yet that says yes or no, but that could very well be the same Sonny
Flaharty that recorded the awesome 60's garage tune " Hey Conductor".
I'm still not sure, internet does not tell me for sure if he was an early
rocker from the 50's,but his voice surely says yes to me. Sounds like
the same dude. But that's not the only highlight here. There's 29 more
awesome rockabilly rock tracks to sink your teeth into. And I've also

I bought this photo at a music convention,many years
ago,and the seller told me he took this photo of Buddy Holly
at a show in either Wisconsin or Minnesota in 1959. I couldn't
remember which show. The photographer is Timothy D. Kehr,
and I tried to call him but the phone number was changed,so I could
not ask permission to post this photo. Well, hopefully he won't be
too angry at me for posting it. But I think the photo should be seen,and
shared with other music fanatics. I guess Tim was a young teen
when he snapped this wonderful photo! I proudly display this
photo framed around some other photos of Buddy's fans,so
they can all hang out together.
I love this picture, especially the way Buddy holds his guitar close.
"I gotta switchblade and I'm gonna cut you".The cover looks
menacing,but the music inside follows no theme other than more
highly charged 50's rockabilly rock, by the original artists and released
on small independent labels.That's how a lot of great songs come from.
From people who believe in them well enough they take it upon themselves
and record and produce it themselves.Either the record company doesn't
believe in what they're doing,or the bands are making this music in their
basements and garages in obscurity,and have no need for those record
labels.After all, if you read about bands,and artists especially in the
1950's, the labels were the power = the owners.
And all these talented musicians would get virtually a penny per sale
of their recordings. These bands are not well known, so they sank
into obscurity, and became "collectibles". Buffalo Bop is the
company that doesn't want you to forget these bands,and makes the
music come alive again.The wonderful thing is, you hear the single as it
came off the vinyl, with no foolish noise reduction, which strips the
sound of the recording of it's nuances, and raw beauty, it's charm
and appeal. Again, another compilation with no theme, is just more
rare rockabilly in my book. The highlighted tracks are: Pink Shoes,
Teenage Baby, Ready To Go Steady,
Tuff-E-Nuff Baby, Fluffy Dog, Study Hall Blues, Grandpa's Rock,
Stompin' To The Beat, Pinch Me Quick, and My Little Jewel.
Get it while you can in the comments and remember kids,
switchblades are illegal in several states, but they make fine
finger nail cleaners.
The cover of Rockabilly Party looks more like a hillbilly strip
club scene, a bad scene from Deliverance or something of that nature.
One of those fellows has a Molotov cocktail in the back round,okay.
I'm confused. But the music inside is all pure original 1950's rockabilly
various artists and it's a good one. It's a theme of miscellaneous songs
and themes: Little Red Caboose, Lonesome Old Jail, Waitin' For A Train,
Bubble Gum Boogie, I'm Being Haunted, Way Up Alaska Way,
Sleepy Time Blues,Rockin' Through The Tunnel Of Love, Have Myself
A Ball, All Messed Up and Married Life Blues.Something I'm sure
many of us can all relate to..Look for the links in the comments sections.
Yeah you can tell by the cover what's going on here. I don't know
how many songs you can sing about North American Indians,
but this compilation has probably the most ridiculous amount of goofy
tunes I ever heard. This one is by request,by the way. So thanks for
that, I always read the comments sections,and keep that in mind when
I look for more things to post here. But so far I'm sticking to the
rockabilly music compilations,until I run out. Why? I was hoping to
convert more people to this brand of 50's rock and roll. It's fun!
The tracks that will absolutely drive you to crash your pick up
truck and drink beer,here are these fabulous songs: (just kidding)
Cowboys and Indians, War Paint, Massacre, Bobby Sox Squaw,
Wig Wam Willie, Indian Joe, Warrior Sam, Little Brave,
Geronimo, Cherokee Rock, Tomahawk, Medicine Man,
and Little Bull & Buttercup. What a scream!

Well I hope this one puts you in the mood of Christmas. I'm practicallydreading it myself, yet I am having such a fine time searching every body's else's fabulous blogs of Christmas music. The weirder the better,please! This is a wonderful volume of strictly Christmas themed rockabilly tracks. Another 30 tracks, every one of 'em are winners! I'm currently diggingthese fine tracks: Rock Around The Christmas Tree, Sleigh Bell Rock, The Wildest Christmas, Rock n' Rudolph, Reindeer Rock, Jingle Bells Boogie, and of course I Wanna Spend Christmas With Elvis. Not your usual Christmas "Simon,Alvin and Theodore,Jingle Bell Barking Dogs,or Jingle Cats Meowing Bad Christmas Tunes", so this should delight even the toughest holiday music critics! Oh,this cover on Rock-A-Billy Barnyard is priceless isn't it? If you had a big red Cadillac in the yard , how come you can't afford that uppity indoor plumbing? And yeah, I've worn those ginghamchecked dresses while doing the chores...but I'd probably turn aroundand yell at those guys to help me tote my bucket, you lazy mules! Well, 30 more fabulous rockabilly rock songs from the 1950's.The theme should be chickens,horsies, and cows, but it isn't. Only one song about chickens, but the rest are all top flight rockabilly styled music just like all of the other volumes.The stand out songs here are: On The Warpath, Tall Oak Tree, Born Unlucky, Barnyard Rock n' Roll, If You Don't Like My Apples (great title) and The Dirty Bird Song (You Can't Hardly Get Them No More).Entertaining volume of rock and roll.
